EMERALD MARINE SERVICES PVT. LTD. was incorporated in 1997 by Captain Satish Kochhar, a professional Master Mariner, who has been in the field of shipping and allied marine services since the beginning of his career that spans a period of forty years. Beginning in the field of Marine survey, the group has grown into a large network of varied shipping transportation and associated fields.

Captain Satish Kochhar is very ably joined by his son, Mr. Vishesh Kochhar who, after completing a course in shipping Management in Narottam Morarji Institute of shipping, Mumbai pursued a full-fledged professional degree course and obtained B.Sc. ( Hons.) in Maritime Business Management from John Moores University, Liverpool, UK. He also obtained practical experience from Warrant Maritime Group of UK.

Over the years , the group has grown from strength to strength . Basing its headquarters in Mumbai, it has offices in Nhava Sheva ( J.N. Port ), in the ICDs of Pune and in Nagpur in the State of Maharastra, in Indore in the State of Madhya Pradesh, and in the ports of Kandla and Pipavav in the State of Gujarat, and all the ICD's in Northern India, namely, Tughlakabad, Patparganj, Ludhiana, Moradabad, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Dadri, Surajpur, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Kanpur with regional office in New Delhi, the capital city of India.

All arms of the trade namely, Operations, Marketing and finance are looked after by competent and experienced professionals.
